Soft Grays Accentuate Any Room
Gray is often overlooked as a decorative color in favor of white or another neutral color, such as beige. However, gray provides an elegant look to any room. It’s also a versatile color with tones ranging from soft grays to more dramatic charcoal grays.
When decorating with soft gray, there are a few things to keep in mind and several ideas to consider, such as:
- Soften up a stark room. Soft gray walls can make a room with a stark design, such as a black and white color scheme or angular furniture, seem softer. You can soften up the room even more by using soft gray accent pieces.
- Make a bathroom more elegant. Soft gray marble can make any bathroom seem more upscale. You can go with a minimalist design with touches of black and other neutral colors, or create a more intricate design that goes well with the marble.
- Create an aged look. Soft gray accents and walls that resemble weathered stone can give a room an aged, rustic look. This is a great option if you want to create a room that has an element of mystery to it or a historic ambiance.
- Brighten up smaller areas. Soft gray hues can brighten up foyers, hallways and other smaller areas, making them seem a little more open than they actually are. These gray tones also give these areas a warm and inviting look.
- Add glamour. Soft grays with a silvery hue add a touch of glamour to any room.
