Founder of Home Life Rose Ann Humphrey uniquely integrates the design industry, which she knows and loves, with the environments her clients choose.
Rose Ann has been on the forefront of design, working with sustainable and environmentally friendly materials years before it became a trend. She previously owned the only independent Pierre Deux in the country. Pierre Moulin and Pierre LeVec opened the French country furnishings store with Rose Ann in Manchester, Vermont. Moulin and LeVec were the foremost experts in the Style of Provence, making Pierre Deux a name synonymous with French Country décor in America.
Originally from New York City, Rose Ann’s diverse portfolio reflects her design ability to apply the functional principles to whatever project is desired. Her work in the Green Mountains of Vermont, the Southwest in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the hills of LA and her love of the sea and the Maine Coast has influenced her joy in country life although she resides in a city.
Projects include numerous primary residences, and condominium projects in Vermont, LA, Florida, Massachusetts, Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Maine’s coastline, New Mexico, Bahamas, and a number of reconditioned and new yachts.
Recently venturing into the commercial office building common area redesign, Rose Ann works closely with architects and directly with property owners.
Rose Ann’s tireless effort to people “discovering their own visual voice” keeps her humble and fresh, and always devoted to her discerning clientele.
Rose Ann is one of the Designer’s on Call at The Boston Design Center, as well as a member of IFDA, International Furnishings and Design Association
Home Life by Rose Ann Humphrey is committed to clients “loving how they live.” Passionate and devoted to lifestyle, Rose Ann Humphrey has spent 25-years working with clients to set the stage for what we believe is the “main event,” providing a style of home living consistent with who our clients are.
Our desire is for gentleness in the homes of our clients, who often live in competitive outside worlds, so they can experience the extraordinary joy of a home that expresses them, supports them and enables them to live in their dreams. Seeing something beautiful they acquired on a fantastic family holiday brings nurturing memories. Light enhancing a carefully chosen paint color or finish that emotionally connects with them. Our clients feel “there is no place like their home as there is no one just like them.”
How does it happen? We listen carefully and respect our clients’ willingness to share who they are with us, helping them “discover their own visual voices.” We are inspired by who our clients are and our goal is for them to be delighted and comfortable in their houses. We strive to translate their feelings and needs into designs that not only work for them, but are of them.
Home Life offers full service interior design, delivering quality and value to our clientele. We work with a variety of architects, contractors and workrooms, creating the right team for each project. Our exclusive custom built cabinetry is sought after by homeowners around the country.
Our client base includes a select client group, from around the globe, who appreciate design created to match their desires. This group includes many notables such as Paige Rense, Editor in Chief (now Emeritus) of Architectural Digest magazine and Norman Lear and his family.
Building lasting relationships with our clients for over 25-years, Home Life has catered to clients around the globe, creating homes that offer singular rejuvenation and retreat.
